Your duties include but are not limited to:
• Organising and supervising all aspects of day-to-day operations of the store
• Planning menus in consultation with Chefs
• Selecting, training and supervising staff
• Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget
• Scheduling shifts and preparing information for the payroll to pass to the payroll administrator
• Maintaining updated records of daily, weekly and monthly stock levels and financial transactions
• Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service
• Consistently monitoring, coaching and encouraging team members to meet the company’s service standards
Suitable applicants must have:
• A recognised NZQA qualification in hospitality or business management (level 7 or above) or ideally at least 3 years team leadership/management experience in hospitality environment
• Proven career history of working in a busy hospitality environment
• Excellent people management skills, communication skills and business management knowledge, including budgeting, accounting, sales and marketing skills
• Knowledge of health, safety and food hygiene regulations and procedures
• Good understanding of current incensing and employment law
• Knowledge of food and drink preparation and presentation
• Awareness of competitors’ prices and services, and market trend
• A commitment to high personal and professional standards
• A very good command of the English language
Along with the above essential requirements you must also have the following attributes:
• Be available to work all shifts including weekends and public holidays
• Have your own transportation
• Proficient on a computer; familiar with software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Photoshop
