We are looking for someone to fill a position as a Cook. The ideal candidate is required to have a minimum of 1-year work experience in a Turkish/Mediterranean cafe/restaurant. Experience in being a cook is preferred. The ideal candidate will be experienced in Turkish cooking.
 
Job responsibilities include:
?Preparing, cooking, seasoning, portioning and garnishing food according to menu and customer dietary requirements
?Ensuring that the quality of dishes, presentation and hygiene are always maintained, quality of delivered raw food always checked
?Ensuring efficient usage of kitchen equipment such as ovens, BBQ Grill, fryers and
?Preparing and cooking authentic Turkish dishes
?Preparing authentic dips, mezze, side dishes and desserts in advance
?Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities such as coolroom, freezers, and bain-maries
?Stock-taking and ordering
?Dishwashing and sanitation
?Following all company policies and procedures

?Be willing to learn new tasks and ready to execute tasks correctly
?Be enthusiastic and friendly with customers
?Follow checklists, recipes, and all Kilim Wellington standards
?Be a team player and willing to help others when needed
?Be able to perform all essential functions of the position
?Be physically fit and healthy as there will be some heavy lifting involved

Key responsibilities :
This position requires a Qualified assistant Manager with appropriate Management qualification and knowledge

Core Responsibilities
?Ensure the overall business meets profit targets and operates smoothly
?Look for opportunities to improve procedures, and make improvements to purchasing and marketing policies
?Introduce new products which are on demand and get rid of old stock
?Ensure that the service standards are on the highest level and constantly improve them.
?Maintain security controls cash, keys, alarms and stock.
Stock and Financial responsibilities:
?Develop and maintain a professional and cooperative relationship with suppliers
?Managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control and pricing, including - implementing stock control systems, stock tracking, purchasing, stock discounting and clearance;
?Performing regular bookkeeping
Customer Service
?Sell good to customers, advice and recommend products and add on products
?Follow up on customer complaints/comments quickly
?Answer phones quickly and ensure staff do the same
Staff Management:
?Ensure staffs are trained in the correct procedure for running the business.
?Ensure staffs are aware of specials,
?Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
The employee may also have been asked to perform any other duties required within the scope of the business from time to time.
Additional Information;
?The position will require weekend work, 3/4 late-night shifts every week.
?Public holidays and some split shifts

We are looking for someone with the following skills /abilities:
#The ideal candidate should have at least one management experience in the retail/hospitality industry.
#The candidate should have some experience in the Turkish cafe or in any restaurant.
A diploma/ advanced diploma degree in Business/hospitality is expected.
#Have the flexibility to work different hours, weekends and public holidays.
#Strong time management skills and can meet deadlines. Reliability, sincerity and hardworking will be added value to this job position.
#Food Safety certificate and Basic First Aid certificate can make you different.
#holding clear and full NZ driving license is an advantage for you.
