We are looking for a motivated, pro-active and enthusiastic Production and Quality Coordinator to join our Medirest team at Auckland City Hospital.

In this full-time specialised position, you will be working closely with our site management team and employees, focusing on forecast planning, overseeing daily operations, quality assurance and championing health and safety behaviours. You will be assisting in the facilitation and management of both Compass Group and the DHB compliance programmes, as well as providing training to up-skill our diverse team. You will be expected to provide day to day oversight of our Supervisor and menu processing team and support the delivery of complex meals to patients. Having a pro-active approach to quality, development and procedures is a must for this multi-tasking role!

You are our perfect candidate if you love a challenge and are not afraid to hit the ground running in our fast-paced environment! You will have extensive experience in either food production, manufacturing, food technology, be a natural at being able to work seamlessly as part of a team and autonomously, as well as having a flexible, “can-do” attitude and approach. Proven experience working with and understanding allergen management is a must, as is having excellent technical writing skills. You must be able to investigate any incidents and formally respond to patient and Client concerns. You will need to have strong communication skills both written and verbally.
