About the role
The Technical Specialist's role is responsible for providing support and guidance within the area of development, management, integration, and support of software applications. Working closely with vendors, software suppliers, and internal resources, the Technical Specialist will be responsible for ensuring work completed provides the best possible balance across time, quality, and cost, and will meet business objectives.
This role also includes assisting with solving technical issues, application maintenance and support activities, including being part of a 24/7 on call roster.
Skills & experience required
- 5-10 years' technical experience in application or integration roles
- Strong background in applications support
- Ability to resolve technical issues, including those involving 3rd parties
- Experience analysing and interpreting information, including specific experience writing technical specifications and designs
- Able to run small projects
