• Scoping – Meeting customer and agreeing on a best possible options for fibre connections from FAT to ETP in accordance to Chorus Standards during the build and connect stages
• Getting the customer consent form signed and making sure they have read and understood the terms and conditions
• Finding service and the boundary, install lead in from boundary to customer premises by aerial/trench/surface
• Install ETP and connect lead
• Blow Fibre via Fibre Gun to the ETP (Air Blown Fibre)
• Manage Fibre lead in ETP
• Manage Fibre in FAT/FFP and label
• Reinstatement if required and making sure the customer is happy with the completion
• Install the ONT inside the customer property and run Fibre from the ETP to the ONT.
• Splice Fibre at ETP, FFP/FAT keeping the signal loss below 0.05 dB
• Program the ONT
• Connect back the voice via VOIP or Copper
• Setup the RGW and connect
• Testing the connection and briefing the customer on the ONT and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintaining records, updating of the asset management systems as required
• Making sure the entire installation from within the network up to the ETP is done in accordance to Chorus standard
• Maintaining Fibre Hygiene
• Making sure the minimum bend radius (MBR) does not exceed the Chorus MBR ratings
• Coordinating and assisting with the supervision of subcontractors as required
