Responsible for all aspects of the management of the Warehouse in Wellington including fulfilling purchase orders, tinting formulas, inwards and outwards inventory control, reporting, stock management, staff supervision, warehouse management and client relationship management.

Key areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

• Manage all contractors’ purchase order fulfilment for the designated territory ensuring that all orders are processed accurately and invoiced and dispatched within required time frames.

• Monitor stock and inventory levels through regular and accurate stock counts, undertaking appropriate stock rotation policies and liaising with the Operations manager to maintain stock levels at all times to ensure that no downtime is generated due to a lack of resources.

• Control inwards and outwards inventory for the Wellington warehouse by following the correct procedures at all times and logging all changes to inventory levels in MYOB ensuring that inventory levels are accurate at all times.

• Manage and maintain the tinting for the designated territory, ensuring all colours are accurately and correctly formulated and tinted; all colours are filed following the correct procedures; and maintenance is performed on the Tint Machine to ensure no downtime is generated by a lack of resources.

• Maintain the warehouse at all times through following the warehouse plan protocol and ensuring that it is kept clean, tidy and organised at all times to ensure efficiency levels are maintained.

• Complete assigned jobs to a high standard including capturing any additional work outside the original scope and documenting them appropriately.

• Create samples of company products as requested to ensure they are provided to potential clients in such a way as to generate and/or secure sales in a timely manner.

• Manage warehouse staff to ensure company behaviour standards are maintained at all times, breaks are taken by staff as required, Health and Safety conditions are met and all staff meet and comply with all company policies.

• Manage staff in an appropriate manner at all times so as to maintain staff morale and meet company legal duties.

• Ensure staff completes their administrative functions within an appropriate timeframe and that this is completed accurately, with necessary checks.

• Uphold the highest levels of customer relationship management by dealing with any disputes in a manner that generates resolutions, ensures that the client remains content with the service being provided and that staff relationships remain harmonious and conducive to efficiency.

• Ensure that vehicle policies are followed at all times.

• Complete administrative duties in an orderly and timely manner so as not to impact on deadline achievement.

• Facilitate the company’s fulfilment of its obligations as a PCBU by ensuring that all workers are aware of their Health and Safety obligations, follow Health and Safety policy, use appropriate PPE, are proactive in hazard and risk identification and management and actively participate in Health and Safety process and training.

• Ensure that clients are aware of their Health and Safety obligations and are active and cooperative in their identification and management of hazards in the warehouse.

• Be actively aware of personal Health and Safety responsibilities to engage and cooperate with the company Health and Safety processes and those of clients and contractors in order to identify and manage hazards on a continuous basis.

It is preferable that the Warehouse Manager has:
• Driver’s license
• Forklift licence
• MPI Biosecurity Accreditation
• Intermediate computer skills and an understanding of MS Office suite and MYOB
• An intermediate understanding of stock management best practice

• Exceptional planning and organisational abilities.
• Proven ability to communicate with all levels of management in both a written and verbal context.
• Excellent problem solving skills to assist with efficient and effective settlement of building issues.
• Ability to resolve disputes at all levels, including interpersonal and client relationships.
