Our well established client is a company that has the stability of long-standing clientele and is also experiencing growth due to it's business development.

They seek a Production Engineer to join their team and look after the press shop - press brakes, laser turrets, and stainless steel panel folders.
The position also has an important role in continuous improvement and utilising Kaizen principles of improvement and efficiency to assist in ensuring it's manufacturing capacity keeps pace with demand.

Suitable applicants will have from around 3 years to 10 years relevant industry experience. You will be accustomed to working with the production of medium sized equipment and working within medium sized production teams.
Ideally your background will contain sheet metal work experience, and CNC experience. Ideally you will also have experience in the manufacture of equipment that includes sheet metal cabinets, which in this case will incorporate a mix of electrical and electronic components.
Additional attributes sought are understanding Kaizen/ lean manufacturing principles / six sigma techniques, all being advantageous, in improving and streamlining a manufacturing operation.

  • Be a valuable team member driving forward improved manufacturing and production activities
  • Assist in managing the cost of production by managing your team and raw materials effectively
  • Ensure resources, material and equipment is available to meet demand, and working to provide products of the highest standard
  • Encourage the team to share ideas to improve processes, equipment reliability, staff safety and product quality to enhance work satisfaction as well as quality of work.
