About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Brewer to be an integral part of an award-winning Brewing team required to produce high quality, award winning beers and ciders. You will be expected to work in all Brewery areas, brewing, fermentation through to bright beer DE filtration.

You will work under the guidance of Master Brewer, Tracy Banner, "The Mother of Craft Brewing in NZ", within a small close knit team ensuring high standards of quality, hygiene and production schedules are met.

This is a hands-on job, involving physical work, so a good level of fitness is required.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Qualifications in Brewing, Food Technology, Science or a related discipline
  • Previous commercial brewing experience with a solid understanding of beer styles
  • Previous recipe development
  • Knowledge of a Food Control Plan (or similar)
  • Chemical handling experience including HACCP
  • Knowledge of automated equipment and be mechanically minded
  • The ability to be a team player
  • Be computer literate, as well as good written and verbal communication and record keeping
  • Proficiency in Mathematics and English
  • The ability to troubleshoot and deliver under pressure
  • Forklift license

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, however shift work or weekend work may be required in peak times or to cover holiday periods.
