As a leading NZ composite manufacturer Advanced Aerospace/C-Quip Ltd is actively seeking a Composite Laminator to join an existing team located in Mt Wellington, Auckland.

For the right candidate this is an exciting opportunity to and thus we aim to help excel your career within the Composite industry. You will be required to produce extremely high quality and complex components to required deadlines, keeping in line with Advanced Aerospace/C-Quip working practices.

Advanced Aerospace/C-Quip operates across a wide range of industry sectors including marine, aerospace and motorsport. We design and manufacture high quality precision carbon fibre components to short time-scales and to varied volumes. We can demonstrate proven capability in the whole manufacturing process from design of the component and production of the tooling to volume manufacture. We work with the world's wealthiest people to produce the finest carbon fibre equipment.

Key responsibilities:
-Versatile and prepared to undertake varied tasks
-Advise the Senior Technician of any additionally quality / process issues during build and/or repair
-Meet high and skilled standards and demanding time constraints
-Read Engineering Drawings and used to working from Production Manuals
-Aware of good working practices related to Composite Component manufacture
-Ensure that patterns / moulds / components are carefully handled and that all reasonable care is taken to prevent any form of damage being caused to them
-Maintain and develop skill levels in all aspect of laminating
-Knowledge of Laminating Techniques for pre-preg reinforced composites
-Maintain thorough and current product knowledge and read all technical information as supplied

Ideal candidate:
-Will be highly motivated
-Ideally will have previous experience in a Composite environment
-Able to use own initiative, and work well within a team
-Have a flexible approach to work and hours

Apprentices and young candidates are welcome to apply with proven experience of good work ethics and willingness to learn. We will support successful applicants to commence/complete a composite apprenticeship.
