The purpose of this role is to perform all aspects of the distribution cycle from goods received into the warehouse, stock and inventory control all the way through to customer delivery.

Duties will include:

Plan and work with Sales Manager to manage stock levels in relation to sales targets

Maintain stock actuals against information in the system

Run a cost-effective, lean and efficient warehouse, capable of handling high volumes and cyclical demand peaks

Maintain relationships with freight companies where applicable and look for better service delivery

Carry out monthly cycle counts and annual full stock take

Review reporting to identify excess / slow moving stock and notify relevant parties

Assist in recommended safety stock/inventory parameters

Process purchase orders to suppliers

Ensure all inwards/outwards goods match delivery dockets/pick slips

Devanning and unloading of containers

Run a smooth goods in/out operation ensuring targets are delivered

Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse that is free of clutter and space is used to best advantage

Adhere to and demonstrate commitment to company HR policies and procedures, company OHS policies and safe working practices


Has proven experience in a similar role, with focus on Inventory, Purchasing and Warehousing

Has worked within a small company and is willing to 'muck in' wherever needed to help the company achieve their goals

Is analytical and practical by nature and enjoys working with a hands-on style

Has sound computer skills and is confident using internal systems such as Movex/SAP, etc. You will also have knowledge of the Microsoft Suite and Google Suite

Enjoys working in a family-oriented environment and is a natural team player

Takes ownership of their role and keeps their finger closely on the pulse of the business and its performance levels

Is a natural problem solver and self-starter

Having current MPI accreditations such as Transitional Facility or Accredited Persons certificates, as well as a current DG certificate, forkhoist license and F-endorsement would be advantageous
