We are seeking an experienced Night Shift Cleaning Supervisor to manage a team of up to 10 staff, in an industrial cleaning environment, in a Meat Processing plant.

This is a hands-on role that requires a high level of Health and Safety practices. Your role is pivotal in the company and ensuring the machines are sterile and safe for the manufacturing of sensitive food products. You will ensure all hygiene standards are consistently achieved at least cost while at the same time maintaining the companys compliance requirements for RMP, Health and Safety and company polices.

As an experienced leader, you will ensure trained staff are available to conduct all tasks in an efficient and effective method, and managing non-conformance; be it people, product or environment, in a timely and efficient manner.

You will have proven experience as a leader and manager and be committed to working night shift in South Auckland.

Although this is a supervisory role and the main focus is ensuring staff productivity and hygiene standards are met, there is also the possibility of hands on physical work when required. This role can be physically demanding at times so all applicants must be fit and healthy, and the role could include water blasting and machinery cleaning.

Your key duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Organizing staff as required to perform specialist duties on a daily basis
  • Overseeing the workload and being hands on when required
  • Reporting to the Production Manager
  • Dealing with issues as they arise

Skills and attributes required:
  • Experience in a similar environment
  • Excellent Health & Safety knowledge and common sense essential
  • Ideal candidates who are physically fit, responsible, reliable and hardworking
  • Speak and communicate in fluent English
