Company Law Creative Group
Location Whakatane, Bay Of Plenty
Listed Wed 28 Nov, 11:51 am
Type Full time, Permanent
An opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Senior Graphic Designer to join our team. We specialise in working for clients in the environmental, community, health, Maori, or 'public good' space.

Established 38 years, Law Creative Group is made up of 4 divisions: Graphic Design, Signs, Commercial Print, and Web Design, making us a unique offering blending creators and makers. Based in sunny Whakatane we pride ourselves on ‘punching above our weight’, extraordinary relationships and adding real value.

We are experiencing exponential growth in terms of attracting rewarding work for exciting and dynamic clients from throughout the country and further afield.

For 70% of your role, you would be taking the lead on identity design work as part of a wider team, and assigned a far wider array of work than in the typical studio. You would be responsible for delivering to very specific briefs across the full gamut of marketing collateral creation.

The remaining 30% would be providing a degree of mentorship and art direction to select intermediate and junior level designers as part of our commitment to ensuring professional growth for all of our employees.

Unkind deadlines are a reality but so too are great studio mates and clients!

The one to join us will not only need to have values aligned with our own but also:
  • Have a solid background in brand creation and identity design.
• Display in-depth understanding of the design process, working under (reasonable) pressure, and designing for end users/consumers and outcomes as opposed to just aesthetics.
• Provide a digital or hard copy portfolio
• Be happy with moving to Whakatane/Ohope to enjoy the great lifestyle. NZ's most sunshine hours and recently voted the countries most loved beach.

We would like the successful candidate to begin work February 2019 (or sooner by negotiation).

If you are a good fit for the above then please respond asap, via email only.

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
