The .com experience team exists to make the Xero.com experience beautiful in every sense of the word. We want xero.com to be a website that people love by helping customers, partners and the small business community discover Xero's value. Our team are experts in user experience design, user interface design, and content strategy. We work together through the entire digital design process - from uncovering customer needs and pain points to executing elegant interfaces.
About the role
As a Senior UX Designer you're responsible for designing digital experiences informed by user research and best practice. You'll be at the forefront of creating intuitive, innovative and beautiful experiences that people love.
You will create world-class user experiences for our global website xero.com which attracts almost a million page views every day. It's one of our biggest assets and the first contact that many people have with Xero. In line with Xero's position as a challenger brand with a commitment to beautiful business, the website must deliver an experience that is out of the ordinary.
You'll be working with talented colleagues who want millions of small businesses to thrive through beautiful software, advice and connections. The ideal candidate is a collaborator, problem solver, and idea generator with a clear vision of the future of user experience.
You're ideal for this role if you have...
extensive experience leading and delivering innovative UX systems for global platforms, preferably within an e-commerce environment
expertise in communicating complex ideas to a variety of people in effective ways
expertise in designing, running and reporting user research
experience working closely with developers and other designers
a portfolio that demonstrates high-quality design outcomes
experience working throughout the entire design process, from uncovering customer needs and pain points, to executing elegant interfaces
an inclusive, collaborative approach that helps maintain our values and contributes to making Xero a great place to work
an organised, passionate and pragmatic approach, and an empathetic attitude
expert informal and formal communication skills
design to development documentation and communication skills
the ability to think systemically and strategically thinking; you can join up your research with other data and research we have at Xero, and with trends and data from outside Xero
