We are looking for a part-time Funeral Assistant to join the team at Dil’s Funeral Services, a leading funeral company with a reputation for providing high quality service, located on Auckland’s North Shore. The Funeral Assistant is required every second week. Hours of work are 8.30am-5pm Friday and Monday with additional time on an “as needed” basis during the weekend between those days.
The role of the Funeral Assistant is a supporting role within the funeral home environment. It exists to help the team in meeting the various demands placed on them, including working outside of standard office hours over the weekend, and without the full team available as they would have on weekdays. The nature of funerals is such that work flows are unpredictable and this role allows the company flexibility in meeting the varied workloads that can exist over weekends and public holidays.
This role requires dedication and professionalism to ensure that Dil’s takes care of the deceased, and the families we serve in a manner that exceeds expectations and contributes positively to the company’s excellent reputation. The position would suit a physically active person as there is lifting involved with the role.
