We are looking for an Assistant Checkout Manager to join our Checkout Team who is outgoing, friendly, enjoys dealing with people, customer-focused and highly motivated. Tasks include handling customer enquiries/complaints appropriately; ensuring checkout opening and closing procedures are followed; assisting in effectively managing the checkout team in the department i.e. staff rosters; responsible for the induction and training of new checkout operators; and ensuring supervisors are keeping on top of customer flow and appropriate numbers of checkouts are open at all times.
At least three years Checkout experience and minimum of two years Checkout supervisory or managerial experience in a New World store is required. Completion of business/management-related course is required. Completion of License Controller Qualification (LCQ) is an advantage. Successful applicant will display excellent people and communication skills, high presentation standards, honesty, exceptional customer service and an excellent work ethic. We need someone who can and willing to work as late as 10PM and as early as 6AM and on weekend. Full roster will be discussed during interview. Hence, own transport is essential.
