We are looking for a Store manager for our Liquor store in Lincoln, Christchurch, the successful applicant’s responsibilities include:

  • Advanced diploma or higher level relating to Business Management is essential.
  • Minimum 1-2 years liquor industry experience preferred.
  • Relevant managerial work experience required instead of those qualifications.
  • Full clean NZ driving licence .
  • The manager shall at all times hold and maintain Manager’s Licence.
  • Managing and motivating a team to increase sales and ensure efficiency.
  • Formulating and implementing marketing policies and purchasing policy.
  • Setting and managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock, product mix, overseeing stock counts, control systems, stock tracking and ordering, keeping records and reordering,
  • Deciding on marketing polices and implementing advertising for the business.
  • Deciding on purchasing policies and setting prices,
  • Daily cash reconciliation, petty cash banking, maintain security controls, financial records – keys and alarms,
  • Budgeting for the business.
  • Preparing Staff Rosters.
  • Responding to customers comments and complaints,
  • Providing exceptional customer service and ensure the employees also provide the same level of service,
  • Selling goods to customers, advise on and recommend products and add on products keeping liquor laws alongside,
  • Schedule and organise delegate work to staff,
  • Developing, executing, and managing merchandising programs for the store
  • Ensuring staff comply with Company policies and procedures,
  • Ensuring business and staff comply with occupational Health & Safety guidelines.


Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
