Plan, formulate and implement operational budgets
Analyse sales figures and forecast future sales volumes to maximize profits
Analyse and interpret market trends to facilitate any operational planning
Maintain stock levels and determine relative popularity of items before ordering new stock.
Facilitate the payment to suppliers for stock and when appropriate, negotiate for better terms
Ensure that ordered products are conforming and accurately invoiced when it arrives
Ensure that stock is accurately priced and displayed in an aesthetically appealing manner
Periodically organise and participate in stock takes
Determine and amend stock profit margins to remain competitive within a specific territory.
Provide reasonable discount to large orders and/or highly valued customers
Organise, plan and execute product promotions particularly for stock which is close to reaching its shelf life and/or for newly released products.
Plan, formulate and implement other business expansion strategies
Supervise junior staff, delegate duties to them and routinely evaluate their performance
Provide training to junior and/or new staff members and offer continued guidance to other staff if and where required.
If no junior staff is present or is elsewhere engaged, assist customers in choosing products and/or suggesting appropriate alternatives, collect payment from customers and pack customer purchases.
Address any customer dissatisfaction that may arise
Manage the day-to-day banking and accounts of the premises
Ensuring continued compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
Ensuring continued compliance with applicable liquor laws

Applicant must have over 2 years work experience in Liquor Industry and must hold the current Liquor Manager Certificate.
Business or management qualification is required.
