We are looking for a result driven retail store manager to be responsible for the overall store management. The successful candidate will be able to enhance customer satisfaction, meet sales and profitability goals and manage staff effectively. Candidates will have the most success if they have a background in financial planning, employee recruitment, or retail management.

Responsibilities
•Complete store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
•Maintain store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees
•Prepare annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiate corrective actions
•Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements
•Ensure availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts; maintaining inventories
•Formulate pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends
•Market merchandise by sales promotion and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios
•Determine marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records
•Manage all controllable costs to keep operations profitable
•Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control
•Analyze sales figures and forecast future sales
•Maintain inventory by implementing purchasing plans and staying in contact with vendors and suppliers
•Work with vendors and manufacturers to bring in effective marketing displays for the sales floor and store windows
•Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met
•Respond to customer complaints and comments
•Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment
•Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements

Requirements
•Excellent interpersonal communication capabilities
•Ability to stay organized and manage time effectively
•Numerical and analytical knowledge to properly manage cash and financial records
•Experience in stock management
•2+ years of experience working in a retail environment, ideally in a management role
•Current clean class 1 full New Zealand Drivers License
•Tertiary qualification in Business administration
•Sound knowledge of Accounts, bank reconciliation and experience on cash register and POS system.
•Open to work on weekends and public holidays.
•Excellent sourcing and vendor management skill.
