We are looking for a self-driven Sales Superstar to join our growing company! There is plenty of scope to expand our existing base immediately as well as lead the growth of our 'hot out the oven' new Home St. range.

Bakeworks was founded by Kirsten and Dave 16 years ago out the back of an organic health food store. Bakeworks has become a well-known and respected brand specialising in the manufacture and distribution of baked gluten free products in both standard grocery and specialist outlets.

This role has a clear focus on relationship building and maintaining with all our Bakeworks customers. There is also further opportunity to engage in new sales opportunities within the retail/FMCG market and foodservice. You will need to be able make a significant impact building on our sales relationships to gain profitable market share.

You will have at least 4 years' experience in this type of role along with proven results achieving in directly influencing and improving the business bottom line.

This position is based on 20 hours per week. Ideally the days of work are Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday however this can be negotiated.

About the role

  • It's You. Own the strategy and management of our New Zealand sales. We need someone who can build relationships and motivate both internal and external teams. A powerful reputation within the trade is a must.
  • Sales growth. You will develop and manage the promotional strategy for the business and be familiar with Aztec analysis to ensure our existing and new products are maximized and continue to grow.
  • Support. You will have the backing of excellent systems and office support from our fantastic team. We like to create an innovative environment where we will except your contribution in development and implementing sales innovations and systems.

About you

  • Experienced Sales/Key Account/Territory Manager - You are highly experienced and an effective Sales Manager (or Sales Rep looking for that next step) within the food and FMCG sector.
  • Big picture and detail - You're a strategic thinker who can spot the opportunities and put together a detailed plan to achieve KPI's.
  • Results driven - Sales is all about results. You will be passionate about knocking the results out of the park and into next week!
  • Can doer - Nothing is impossible. Dream big, plan well, get excited about the results. We are a small passionate bunch of can doers who all work together to make things happen.
  • Outstanding Communication Skills - An essential part of the role for effective dealings with our customers, Bakeworks team and contracted merchandisers.
  • Team Player - You will be part of an energetic and resourceful team of people and your contribution will be greatly welcomed in our quest for continual improvement and growth.

Other Requirements

  • Computer savvy, including excel and CRM software knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Aztec data with the ability to analyse and report back to management.
  • Excellent presentation with a strong field reputation.
  • Participate in weekly team meeting to discuss progress and targets.
