Are you a talented interior designer? Do you have a flair for kitchens? Do you have a passion for customer service? If you answered yes to any of these questions then I’d be keen to speak with you.

PlaceMakers Mt Wellington is one of the largest suppliers of materials to the building industry in Auckland and is also part of New Zealand’s No.1 publicly listed company Fletcher Building. We are currently looking for a high calibre person who is enthusiastic, energetic and passionate to join our busy Interiors Team.

You would be responsible for maintaining high levels of customer service within our brand new inspiration centre. You will provide consulting to both Trade and retail customers on all aspects of interiors but with a specialisation in kitchens.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in kitchen design and experience in bathroom, laundry, flooring, wardrobes, heating would be great too. You will have an ability to build strong relationships and must be polite and professional. We are looking for someone with a high standard of personal presentation and excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will need to have excellent time management skills, an ability to work to tight deadlines and company targets and be able to work independently and manage your own time effectively.

Intermediate to advanced experience with excel and other computer programs would be an advantage. The desired, but not critical skills for this role are; Building industry knowledge, Being reliable, have an attention to detail and previous Kitchen design experience.
