Do you want to put your values to work leading sales growth for a social enterprise going global?

Conscious Consumers is a technology-driven social enterprise that connects consumers and businesses for the good of people and planet. We help consumers understand the sustainability practices of businesses, and we help those businesses improve the practices that their customers care about most. We also help businesses understand, connect, and reward consumers that care.

We are an early-stage startup with a great story, an innovative technology product, hundreds of existing customers, and a social mission to deliver impact world-wide. We are presently closing significant funding to continue our growth in New Zealand, and launch Conscious Consumers in the UK. We need a Head of Sales that can accelerate our growth in New Zealand, particularly with medium/large retail (our early customers include Z, Meridian, & Kathmandu).

Your mission:

Lead our revenue growth in NZ, particularly among medium/large retailers. In parallel, build our sales/account team, strengthen processes, and support development of our product.

What we’re looking for:

> You are experienced in closing new sales at enterprise level.
> You are excited about building up our early-stage sales/account team, and the processes and systems that support it.
> You understand and are comfortable pitching to Marketing Managers, Sustainability Managers, and CEOs in medium/large enterprises.
> You are comfortable selling digital products in the marketing space.
> You want to champion a product that delivers social and environmental impact.
> You want to work in a values-driven startup that looks after its people.

Tasks include:

> Developing sales strategy that supports business goals.
> Setting and delivering on sales targets, including new customer acquisition and growing business with existing customers.
> Leading a sales/account/support team, designing structure, making hires, setting up and running processes and systems.
> Managing and mentoring team members.
> Provide input on and support to the product team on product development.

What else do you need to know?

> This is a full-time permanent role, and we’re happy to explore flexible hours or reduced hours (e.g., four day work week) to better fit your life.
> The salary will be competitive, and there is also the possibility of shares/options, this is currently in design.
> We’d like this role to start as soon as possible.

> We’re into data, and will be keen to talk to your recent references.
> Our head office is in Wellington, and much of our market is in Auckland. We’re interested in applicants in either city, with expectation of spending around 1-2 days per week in the other city.
> You need to be already eligible to work here in NZ and have a work permit.
