Hamilton City Council is looking for an Inspector with experience in plumbing and drainage to join our Building Control unit.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our professional and supportive Inspections team.

The Council is committed to delivering services that make Hamilton a great place to live, work and play, with Inspectors playing a critical role in protecting the health and wellbeing of all Hamiltonians.

You will be inspecting buildings for compliance with the Building Act and the Building Code - particularly in the plumbing and drainage space.

Our ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge in construction, a solid understanding of legislation requirements, and a strong focus on customer service excellence.

This role requires a level 6 qualification in a building related field or a willingness to work towards this qualification. Ideally you will also have Building Control Competencies, particularly in Plumbing and Drainage.
