Electrix Limited is a high profile, long term leader in the Australasian electrical and gas contracting markets. We seek an experienced Trade Coach to provide training and coaching support to Distribution Services Business Unit to improve technical competence, compliance and development of trade staff. This role will focus ensuring best practice is used and innovation is encouraged.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical training, coaching and support to Distribution Services Business Unit
  • Assist with industry training
  • Investigate issues raised through quality audits and providing and implementing constructive resolutions
  • Assist with the development of procedures
  • Lead the roll-out of procedures and best practice to field staff
  • Trouble-shoot in technical problem areas
  • Drive technical, safety and improvement initiatives throughout Distribution Services Business Unit
  • Sign off competency field assessments for trade staff and trainees
  • Build and maintain productive working relationships with client auditors and internal contacts
  • Ensure safe working methods and the requirements of the Health and Safety in Employment Act are followed and communicated to all staff
  • Ensure that work is carried out to required standards and plans, stopping work if unsafe or not to standard, reporting QSE issues that arise and managing risks in the workplace

Key Attributes:

  • Train the Trainer Qualification
  • Workplace Assessors Course and certification to US4098
  • NZ Registered Line Mechanic/ Glove and Barrier preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of a wide range of industry and customer standards and best practice
  • Maintain the required level of technical expertise in all aspects of the Distribution Supply network
  • Understanding and being able to adapt to different needs and levels of experience of trade staff

This position is based in Henderson. Attractive rates of pay are available commensurate with experience, together with an attractive superannuation (conditions apply) and company funded medical insurance. Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
