The business is growing and the company is looking for line mechanics, competent in all operational aspects of overhead line and underground reticulation to help maintain and extend our existing network within the Waipa Area.

To deliver these services effectively and efficiently Waipa Networks require the successful applicant to be:
• Competent in all operational aspects of overhead line and underground
• A qualified, competent and safe registered line mechanic
• Prepared to supervise and train staff as required
• Have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
• Be prepared to work out of normal working hours on planned work & faults when required
• Understand and comply with Waipa Networks policies and procedures and ensure they are complied with.
• Participate in project planning and tailgate sessions.
• Contribute to work site management.
• Traffic management.
• Responding to customer queries.
• Material, equipment requisitions and returns.
• Completing paper work including time sheets, equipment record data, as-built drawings, etc.
• Provide system isolation and switching under direction from control room.
• Testing of safety equipment.
• Participate in safety programmes.
• Participate in staff training.
• Cleaning vehicles and restocking stores.
• Servicing machinery and safety equipment.
• Reclaiming recycled line equipment.
