The Role:

We are currently on the lookout for a dedicated and hardworking Trade Manager to join Global Home Response and assist with the delivery of AA’s recently launched HOME RESPONSE products -

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, the main focus of this diverse role will be to ensure all New Zealand contractors comply with our service delivery processes and deliver exceptional customer service. This will included providing support and training, managing on-boarding and quality assurance, auditing and working in line with our clients' service level agreements and key performance indicators.

What We Are Looking For:

To be considered for this role, you will be either a qualified Plumber or Electrician with extensive industry experience (domestic experience would be advantageous) and a background managing trades. The ability to work autonomously and prioritize your time is essential, as are excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills. Relevant qualifications in auditing or work health and safety will be viewed as advantageous.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Induct, train and mentor contractors
  • Maintain key performance indicators, as per our clients’ SLA's (including on time arrival and full fix rates) in collaboration with the Account Manager
  • Conduct audits of contractor performance and implement improvement strategies where required
  • Review and implement HSE processes
  • Visit sites and manage quality and safety assurance
  • Act as management on call
  • Lead regional expansion Manage onsite resolution of client complaints
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our client and contractors
  • Manage and administer continual development of our contractor database
  • Great ongoing opportunities for On-call work

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Licensed Plumber or Electrician with extensive industry experience
  • Background managing trades
  • Competent and professional phone manner
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Ability to build effective relationships for the benefit of the company
  • Ability to lead by example with a positive and proactive attitude
  • Ability to work to timelines and manage multiple and competing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly excel and word)
  • Current and valid motor vehicle license
  • Flexibility to work on call when required
  • Relevant Auditing and/or HSE qualification highly regarded, however not essential
