Empire Electrical Services are looking for a qualified electrician to join our team

Empire Electrical specialize in the installation of temporary power and lighting, specializing in major events and exhibitions. We are one of the very few companies in New Zealand in this field. We build and service all of our own equipment that is used to supply these events. We deliver quality workmanship and customer service that is second to none.

Empire Electrical also has an electrical contracting division, servicing domestic and commercial clients. the applicant will be required to work across both divisions.

You will get training in the operation of diesel generators, lighting systems, switchboard construction, design and a lot more.

Duties and responsibilities include:

General maintenance and servicing, domestic maintenance and installations, commercial property maintenance

Residential and light commercial work

Fault finding

Liaising with our clients
Managing jobs to a high standard
Training and developing apprentices

We require someone who:

Has a customer focus and the confidence to communicate with a diverse range of clients;
Is a NZ registered electrician and holds a current practising licence;
Is a skilled tradesman who takes pride in their work and themselves and can work unsupervised;
Has the ability to lead and manage jobs, make decisions and is well organised;
Has a good working knowledge of current electrical standards and regulations and health and safety practices;
Enjoys training and developing apprentices;
Has their own tools and a full and valid New Zealand driver's licence;
Is self-motivated and dependable
