NETCON has a new opportunity for a Trainee Line Mechanic based in Timaru. Reporting to the Aerial Construction Supervisor, this role involves the construction and maintenance of Electricity Distribution Infrastructure (Poles and Wires) within South Canterbury. Your work will require you to undertake a range of tasks including working at heights from ladders or bucket truck, use of HIAB cranes, assembling power pole components and construction duties.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be required to hold a full driver's licence, work in a team environment, be willing to train and learn a trade. The training aspect will take two years minimum, so commitment to training through Connexis, (Electricity Supply Industry Training Provider) will be required for a successful outcome.

All applicants must have a valid working visa or be a New Zealand resident.
