Our New Zealand business is a leading food production group with a wide-reaching international market. Several of their plants across New Zealand are currently seeking passionate Maintenance Electricians who are ready to align with modern plants. This varied role will have you working as part of the maintenance team playing a key part in the ongoing servicing, maintenance, and installation of processing equipment. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will undertake day-to-day maintenance excellence with a focus on minimising downtime, maximising efficiency; and Health & Safety practices. With new equipment to be installed and commissioned, and some amazing career pathways available for the right person, this is the perfect time to align with the team.

This position is imperative for ensuring the sound operation of all mechanical breakdowns and maintenance of plant equipment. Successful candidates will ideally have previous experience with FMCG production, and be willing to learn and upskill utilising internal pathways up. You will have a keen eye for fault finding and understand the sense of urgency in regards to production breakdowns. Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics would be beneficial; as well as any welding experience and/or tickets.
You will be able to work a rotating and/or fixed shift roster with the ability to flex to operational requirements and carry out preventative maintenance during downtime.

To be successful in this role, you must have the following:
• Full, practicing EWRB license (Candidates with a Limited License will not be considered)
• Understanding of breakdown response urgency and a solid work ethic
• Proven experience in a production maintenance environment
• Great communication skills and be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test
