Are you looking for a job that is different and has the potential for growth and development? Because this isn't just your average labouring job! We want people who are eager to learn, can work hard and will just get stuck in! There is more to containers than you think!
Specialised Container Services is a New Zealand owner operated company that provides container support services to shipping lines. Our core business is the maintenance and repair of shipping containers.
We have some exciting times ahead and we are looking for a Trainee Upgrader to join our growing team at our Timaru Depot. Whether you have a wealth of experience behind you or are interested in learning new things and developing your skills, we want to hear from you!
The core of this upgrading position will involve steam cleaning, painting, sweeping out containers and completing basic repairs to ensure shipping containers meet specific industry standards. We all like to get in there and help out, and we need you to be able to do the same. However, these roles have the potential to develop into various other roles within the depot such as more complex repairing, surveying, driving and leadership roles.
Some knowledge of the shipping industry would be an advantage, however it will be your strong work ethic, positive attitude and drive to succeed that will stand you out from the crowd!
Our standard hours of work are between 7.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday, and 7.00am and 12.00pm Saturday. More overtime will be available for those who want it.
