The Pallet Company Group comprises of two manufacturing sites in Auckland and Napier. We specialise in the manufacture of wood packaging, including pallets, bins and crates for the horticultural and industrial sectors. Our Napier site includes a sawmill operation.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and qualified Saw Doctor to join our Napier site. This position is a full-time position Monday to Friday and best suited to someone who is reliable and willing to grow into the position as our business expands. Our Company believes in adding value to the community and this is a position that we are looking to fill with a motivated individual who will be willing to supervise an apprentice when the need arises.

The role will include the responsibility for maintaining saws to an optimum standard and compliant with our site quality standards. Position includes: tensioning, servicing, sharpening, repairing of saws, set up, alignment etc. Adherence to these standards is critical and we are looking for someone with attention to detail in order to minimise saw failures and unplanned saw changes throughout our manufacturing facilities.

You must have:
Relevant National Certificate in Saw Doctoring, or trade Cert or Similar
Experience in Saw Doctoring
High Standards of workmanship

The successful applicant must be able to work with minimal supervision, have good health and safety awareness and good solid communication skills. We would like in the future for this role to be a supervisory one, over seeing an apprentice.
