- Casual Security Officer position available
- A minimum of 40hours per week for Mobile Patrol officer role.
It’s true, the life of a mobile security patrol is pretty quiet. You’ll spend most of your shifts alone, but for the right person it’s a dream come true! You can skip the small talk, do a good job, and go home.
At First Security, we will help you earn NZQA qualifications and provide a full training programme to help you become a Mobile Patrols officer. So, what does a patrols officer do?
Your main focus is to help reduce risk to our customers, by providing them quality security services.
Knowing your patrol area and site procedures is one of the most important parts of the job. You’ll learn the alarm systems and normal activities schedules. Then you will be the first response for incidents and help requests. This can mean assessing situations approaching strangers, as well as recording information and writing reports.
This might sound like a lot, but we offer you a great training programme and support, to ensure you have all of the skills and knowledge you need to succeed. What you need to bring with you to be successful in the role is:
• Good listening and communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work alone
• Self confidence
• Full Driving License
• Problem solving ability
There are a few other requirements that are important, such as the ability to pass background checks, and obtain a Security Certificate of Approval and Security Clearance - however we will help you obtain those if you don’t have them already.
We operate 24/7, so we have a variety of shift options to fit around your studies or other life commitments.
