Job Summary
To provide support with ISP, networking services, hardware and software updating to the
customers provided with fibre broadband service. Provide proactive services to residential
customers and Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) business owners.

Key Accountabilities/ Expectations
  • Provisioning Broadband and IP services for clients.
  • Setting up of internet connection, modems, routers and installing required software's to
establish the connections.
  • Install, maintain and repair computer networking with fibre broadband, DSL components in
residential, business and at network sites and testing for optical loss.
  • Locating faults in equipment using various instruments.
  • Troubleshooting with hardware and software issues in setting up the network.
  • Configuring and integrating network and telecommunication technology with computer
software such as ICAD, Bluebeam.
  • Monitor data network, perform troubleshooting on the same and repair and replace Fibre,
CAT5 and CAT6 cables.
  • Terminate fibre optic cables including patch, indoor and outdoor cables.
  • Examine and plan drawings, specifications and work areas to determine positioning and
connections to be installed.
  • Use and be responsible for specific fibre optic preparation with networking.
  • Installations of Network cabling at SDU, MDU and Commercial properties, undertake fibre
build works.
  • Programming the ONT (Optical' Network Terminal) and Modems/Routers/ SIB boxes with
existing wiring.
  • Provide ongoing technical support for troubleshooting, optimising ICT network performance
at all terminals including RAT, OFDC, FAT, ABFAT, Network Cabinet and customer's end
with the help of instruments like LAN cable tester and visual fault locator.
  • Adjusting, rectifying, reinstating faulty items or software and setting up the LAN, Wi-fi for the
customer including configuring customer's equipment with the specifications.
  • Fibre cabling and Fusion splicing in commercial and domestic properties.
  • Installing wires and cables to IT equipment for Structured Voice and Data Cabling.
  • Establish voice and data networks by running, pulling, terminating cables and programming
  • Punching and testing of RJ45 Jacks, Krone panels and Patch panels required for putting
computers and other peripherals to the network.
  • Installation, Testing, programming and Commissioning of Routers, Servers, Switches,
multiplexors, cable trays, ETP, ONT and other appliances for Computer Networks such as

  • Sets up a network connection on a host computer/ laptop by logging the default network
settings such as IP address, Proxy, Gateway, Network username and ID Password to
enable network connection and communication
  • Troubleshooting, resolution, repairing and replacing peripheral equipment and those related
to hardware, software and network.
  • Providing/arranging remote support for client’s technical issues and web services.
  • Make sure the servers, routers, SIP protocols, firewall and virus protection are undertaken
after installing/changes to the Operating System.
  • Document network by labelling and routing equipment and cables; recording configuration
diagrams and specifications.
  • Efficient use of ICT resources that belong to the company.
  • Understand the principles of working in a healthy and safe environment. As well as using or
ensuring the health and safety systems and processes are followed, take active steps to
ensure their own wellbeing and the wellness of others.

Experience/Qualifications / Knowledge
  • Minimum of 6 to 9 months experience in similar position or relevant ICT qualifications of
Diploma or higher.
  • ICT customer service background would be an advantage.
  • Certificates in WTC1 and WTC3 would be preferred.
  • Understanding of the latest IT infrastructure of Telco/Telecommunication industry.
  • Highly focused on customer service and support.
