Honestly, there are few better places to be than in the cab of a truck with an incredible view of our country.

As a Tanker Driver, delivering or collecting milk for Fonterra, you get to enjoy life on the road and earn a great living without having to do the long haul. You’ll receive training, full company uniform and PPE, and be part of a team of experienced drivers who are really there for each other. Fonterra offers great benefits and excellent working conditions.

You get the social side of things at the depot, and then you get to step into the office with the best scenery in the world. To top it all off, because you know your shift patterns well in advance, you can plan your life around your work, and there’s plenty of scope to develop your career too.

More than a driver, our Tanker Operators are the face of Fonterra at the farm-gate and on the road. With high industry standards, a commitment to quality, health and safety, and customer service – you can truly take pride in your work.

So what does it take to be a great tanker driver? You need a Class 5 driver’s license and 12 months’ recent experience driving truck and trailer vehicles, preferably on country roads. Experience driving a live load would also work in your favour.

If you’re a great driver who gets on with people from all walks of life, and like the thought of joining a great team - get in touch. Both permanent and temp roles are available.

To apply for this role you’ll need to be an NZ resident or have a valid NZ working visa. Our recruitment process will include attendance at an assessment centre, pre-employment checks (drug and medical, reference checks and a police check).
