At Civic Contractors, we're a long standing supplier of services to NZ cities. We contract to Councils for street cleaning services such as collecting litter, road sweeping, removing graffiti, water blasting, pavement cleaning and more!

We are looking for Two Field Operations Supervisors to join our West Depot (Henderson Area and Rodney District Area).

In this role you will manage a team to ensure contract services are carried out on time and to a high standard while managing health and safety objectives.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Establishing and maintaining a collaborative working relationship with staff and clients
  • Leading and maintaining a work-safe environment at all times, having a proactive approach to eliminating and minimising risks and providing timely response to any incidents
  • Ensuring work quality of team, identifying performance and development needs and providing coaching or improvement responses to ensure all work is done to a consistently high standard
  • Ensuring schedules are worked to, being responsive in monitoring and adjusting as required
  • Supporting the Team in carrying out duties as required and resolving issues that arise
  • Ensuring plant & equipment is correctly maintained and fit for purpose
  • Carrying out scheduled reporting and other work activities as directed by the Operations Support Manager
  • Investigate and be involved in the resolution of complaints received from customers or members of the public

Our successful applicant will have the following skills, and attributes:
  • Leads by example with great interpersonal and communication skills with ability to manage teams of 10-25 staff
  • Is highly organised and has strong problem solving skills with a proactive nature in providing feedback for continuous improvement
  • Able to identify risks and responsive to taking practical steps to address
  • Applies industry 'best practice', following and implementing Civic policy and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, with good computer skills
  • Innovative and the ability to manage change

You will be working 40-45 hours per week in this role and it is important you are flexible around weekend work as and if required.
