FAQs
Can I collect the baking?
Yes, you can if you’re from the same area as the baker, we can organise pick up from the NZME offices.
When will the goods be baked?
Once payment has been received, our baker will bake the goods as described within a timeline communicated with you. Then the baking will be couriered to you. We will aim to ensure you receive the baking is as fresh as it reasonably can be.
How do I pay?
If you are the successful bidder for an auction for any Goods, payment must be received within 7 days of the auction closing via bank transfer to Variety – the Children’s Charity. Bank details will be provided to the successful bidder via email. Payment must be received prior to the dispatch for delivery or pick up of the Goods.
Can I get a charitable receipt for my auction price?
Auction purchases are not considered as donations and so are not eligible for a tax deduction. However, a payment receipt can be issued if needed.
What if I have an allergy or food intolerance to a specific ingredient?
We will do our best to provide the list of ingredients for you. It is your responsibility to consider your health concerns. Please remember our celebrities are not professional chefs and are baking for fun and charity.
Please note, even if the baking doesn’t contain a specific ingredient, we cannot guarantee that it has not come into contact with that ingredient, e.g., gluten, nuts.
Can I have the baking delayed until say, next month?
Within reason and pending the availability of the baker, we can certainly ask for flexible timing on when the goods are baked.
