Lu Shi was born (March 1979) and raised in Sichuan, China. She graduated from the University of Chengdu Legong, Sichuan in a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Her entrance into art began early from childhood, attending Art Schools and her parents supporting her newly found childhood talent. She has become open to many new directions in the arts, mainly focusing on painting on Canvas and Rock Art but has a real passion for the Chinese Art of Zen tangle and Henna. Being open to different art forms has given her a broad perspective on the arts. This allows Lu (Lulu) to mix different styles together to create new and unique works of art.
She currently lives with her husband and their 2 dogs residing between South Island, Auckland and the sunny Bay of Plenty. Lulu loves travelling the world and since arriving in New Zealand has helped her to find inspiration from everything she sees and experiences.
