MAORI - PERSONALISED PLATE - UNIQUELY NEW ZEALAND
Description
Start is not reserve but place a honest bid and I will consider it an offer
MAORI License plate
All letters No numbers
February 6th is the 175th anniversary of the Treaty of Waitangi / Tiriti o Waitangi. I have relisted the plate to celebrate that.
Provenance - The first person to own these plates was New Zealand multi-millionaire businessman / property developer David Blackmore. He bought these plates when personalised plates were first released in 1987. They were then acquired by Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom circa 2010. I bought these plates from him in early 2011
Provenance is important for any collectable and its history since I have had it, it has been significant. Since I first listed the plates on Trademe they have had nearly a million hits. It has been on the national news on three different occasions and as well as having been the subject of a 10 minute segment on close up. If you are looking for a plate with significant provenance, there is none better.

Yes the plate was on Campbell Live to on Feb. 4th, It's seems they saw my #MAORIplate on my car Don Brash's comments: "Look at the number plate on that car" - "I don't think he's a supporter"
People do notice the plates.
In my opinion debate is important and this plates certainly gets people engaged. That is one of it most important qualities. These Trademe auctions have had around one million views and many thousands of "questions" and "answers".
This plate is about celebrating culture and our countries uniqueness. I am keen to sell to someone that can use these plates positively.
