Triumph T100C 1970

1970 T100R Frame with 1969 T100c Engine. Rego is on hold. Bike has an oil leak from somewhere behind the clutch that needs to be looked at before you can use it. Also been sitting for 8 months. Will run with a bit of tinkering. I've just got too many bikes/projects.

This is a 50 year old bike. Over that time repairs have been made, parts replaced etc. Part of owning this type of machine is regular maintenance and repair work. If this is not what you expect , buy yourself a new Triumph. If you want a matching numbers, concourse Triumph you are looking in the wrong price bracket. I haven't investigated the oil leak but believe it is from the gearbox output shaft, seal or bush or both. The best way to gain practical knowledge of these bikes is with hands on experience, not by reading books. There is no shortage of self proclaimed experts out there, but it is getting harder to find a half decent bike.

No matter what people say, this is still a desirable classic bike. So what it's not original, so what it's got an unusual paint job. It's called character, it has a story to tell. Dreamers and critics need not apply.
