1961 Chevrolet Other GREEN DAY! Greenbrier Van

1961 Chevrolet Greenbrier Van. These vans were produced by Chevrolet from 1961 to 1965 to counteract the VW Kombie invasion to the USA. It is very unique as it is likely to be the only one on the road in NZ, and the only one in the world that was once owned by GREEN DAY frontman Billie Joe Armstrong! It was Billie Joe's personal surf van he used in California, I have a copy of the "State of California Certificate of Title", goes with the van. He rebuilt it to the standard it is today. It sounds great with a twin exhaust system. The engine burns no oil and the transmission works beautifully. 70000 miles on the clock, but it's accuracy is unlikely. I drove this van 1800 kms, from Central Otago to Southland and then home to Katikati with no surprises other than attracting enormous attention! Work has recently been carried out on the van, including mechanical and cosmetic repairs to a standard that I am now happy to let it go. A new NZ spec headunit compatible to the Amp, subs and speakers has been fitted, be prepared for loud crisp Green Day sounds! It has bluetooth and handsfree phone capability. "GRNDAY" personalised plates are included. A new WOF will be done upon sale. It would make an awesome coffee vending van (double opening side and rear doors), a camper or passenger van with bench seats fitted (will need certification for extra seating) I will consider trading/swaps for a late model diesel 4wd ute.
