Morris Mini Aus.Clubman GT 1972

Aus Mini Clubman GT, the rarest of all Minis with only 1200 made. Bought for the wife in '11 but she has never driven it and has now found her dream car. Built Feb '72 and listed on the Aus Min Reg as YG2S8 995 which makes it the 494th built; body no. MS23 520. It has a replacement correct 1204 series 11 stud block and re-stamped with the original engine no. 1200/1211, fitted with 12G940 cylinder head. Black basket weave upholstery and trim in excellent condition. Bumpers and under-riders as new; interior kick-plates and cargo-bin trim in very good condition. Originally reg. GE 958, taken off road early 1990's for restoration ans re-registered Mar. 1997. In the last 2 years it has had a 2K primer and top-coat re-paint but not buffed. In the lat 12-18 mths the following work has been done and it has had minimal use since as it has only been to car shows etc. Gearbox re-built by GT racer Roger Payne with HD clutch with receipts for all parts and work. Top end is very strong in excellent condition with 13 row oil-cooler. New 3.105:1 CWP gives17.68mph/1000rpm. 3393rpm@60mph. Following items are all new not recon: HILO adjustable suspension with Fast Road coil springs; steering rack;4 shock absorbers; wheel-arch flares; battery; exhaust system; all window rubber seals and boot/bonnet seals. petrol tank neck seals with matching lockable caps with one key;Mongoose sound deadening to all roof and floor surfaces; tinted windscreen; all hoses; poly stabiliser bushes; boot-lid stays etc etc. Following have been recon:VH44 brake booster, brake and clutch master cylinders; starter motor. Tyres are Yokohama A008. . Requires front door bin liners. Spares will not be sold separately and include 2 Rostyle wheels in good cond, ignition/starter steering column barrel, complete set of instruments in dash panel, 3 Bridgestone SF226 with 6mm tread, elect fuel pump, 3.6:1 CWP. 6 listed owners with one a dealer and one of the owners having owned it twice
