Other TREKKA 1969
Video

Description
Here is your chance to own an iconic piece of Kiwi automotive folklore. A Trekka!
In Todd Niall's fascinating book, "The Trekka Dynasty" he writes:
"The Trekka emerged as the ultimate response to policies pursued by successive New Zealand Government’s aimed at boosting the homegrown content of the local motor industry.
"The Trekka is the only motor vehicle to be both designed, and mass-produced in New Zealand. 2,500 were built between 1966 and 1973. The locally built bodywork and interior was bolted to Skoda mechanicals imported in kit form from Czechoslovakia."

I am putting my cherished Trekka model 4-16 on the market. It is in pretty good condition with some outstanding attributes you don't normally find in a Trekka of today like being registered AND with a warrant of fitness.
This Trekka runs very well and can be seen frequently around the South Auckland country side tootling along happily holding up traffic everywhere it goes.
Over the last couple of years I've spent nearly $5k painting and keeping up with small rust spots as they pop up as well as brand new tyres including spare and refurbished steering and fuel tank.
...... and with those rust spots, yes it does have a couple but look on the bright side, you may want to have it repainted to the factory spec of dark green or light brown. You may even decide on mauve. Fun, fun, fun!
I have attached a small video about the Trekka and it will stay there until Sky TV ruthlessly tracks me down and tells me to remove it or suffer the fate of those boxing pirate scum. My Trekka is proudly on show.
The Trekka is available to view in the weekend and evenings. Feel free to ask as many questions as my non mechanical self can answer. I am going to add "as is where is" to this description even though it has a WOF only because, well, it's a Trekka!
So here is your chance to own a piece of NZ history. I am passing on the huge responsibility of maintaining and caring for one of the last remaining kiwi Trekka!
