2008 Volvo V50 T5 AWD

Volvo V50 T5 AWD for sale. In my opinion these are one of the best looking wagons from the 2000’s. If you are in the market for a medium sized wagon (VW golf, Audi A4, etc) with lots of power this is the car for you. I have owned this for the past 2 1/2 years. It’s been a great car, but we are selling it to get something bigger. It’s been garaged while I have owned it and I have had no major issues. It’s been serviced regularly by Wellington European (they use LiquiMoly oil), most recently 2 weeks ago. Rego and WOF are valid - it passed its last WOF with no issues.

As owner I have replaced:

• Front shocks incl. mounts and bearings
• Timing belt and tensioners
• Expansion tank
• Windscreen resealed
• Fuel pressure sensor
• Rear tyres (Bridgestone Potenzas, less than 1 year old). Front tyres are fine as well.
• One of the rear trailing arms.
• Windscreen wipers The cam belt was replaced shortly before I bought it (~190000 km) so it’s fine for a while still.

Good things

• powerful 2.5L 5 cylinder turbo engine, (230hp) same engine as used in the Ford Focus ST of the same vintage. These are great engines and go forever if well looked after
• Haldex AWD system so lots of grip
• Transmission shifts smoothly
• Leather interior in a unique dark maroon color with blonde wood veneer
• Lots of extras: electrically adjusted front seats, heated front seats, blind spot warning, parking sensors, dual climate zone air conditioning, great stereo
• Lots of room. We have comfortably had 4 adults plus luggage in the car on many trips to the snow.
• It’s a Volvo, so very safe and airbags everywhere.

Bad things

• Drivers seat is starting to wear on the right hand side
• Right-hand rear seat has strange white mark on it. It was there when I bought it
• The brakes need to be done sometime soon. They still have 4mm all round but my mechanic recommend they be replaced before the next service
• Exterior is in good condition for its age except for a few a scratches
