Memoryhouse is a dream pop duo which formed some five years ago in the depths of Southern Ontario, Canada. The Slideshow Effect is the bands debut full length album (in September 2011 Sub Pop released a fully re-recorded, remixed and re-mastered version of the band’s 2010 self-released, digital-only EP, The Years). (Her) Nouvion’s soft, ethereal voice anchors the frozen textures of (his) Abeele’s compo¬sitions with frank sentimentality – a unique approach towards humanizing the electro-pop compositions they create and the results are at once timeless and new.
