Earl Nightingale Said That Luck Is When Opportunity Meets Preparedness.

Well, I am confident to say that I experienced what luck is when I made this record. It seems that one thing led to another and this album just fell into place. I always enjoy playing my music and I especially enjoy making records. This one is extra special to me. David Z put together an incredible band with Mike Finnegan on keys, Tony Braunagel on drums and Reggie McBride on bass. These guys are incredible musicians who care about every note they play. You will hear this on this record. Since I had never played all but two of these songs before and the guys had never even heard them, what you hear on this record is actually the first time these songs were ever played! This is the way I like my music. If you have ever seen me live, you know I like everything to be spontaneous. To hear music that is overarranged and overthought about drives me nuts.

This record is straight ahead real from the first note. It is normal to listen back and want to change this or that but we left it as it was played. It is as human as it gets and it is just plain real which seems to be very rare in the music world these days. I hope you will feel the energy that was with all of us in the studio during the making of this record. - ALBERT
