Here is a 20’s Ludwig & Ludwig Chicago Super Ludwig snare drum. 14x6.5” it has been refinished professionally by a French polisher in black satin lacquer. Solid steam bent maple shell with maple re enforcement rings. All parts are original except the tension rods and hoop clips which are modern replacements and the throw off arm and attachment screw which are Adrian Kirchler reproduction pieces.

Like many of these older solid shell drums the shell is a little out of round meaning it has needed the Remo classic fit drum heads made for these older drums. Snare wires are the hard to find puresound super Ludwig reproduction wires.
