This super strength tour grade hook Velcro is perfect for attaching your effects pedals to your board safely and securely.

** This auction is for a 1ft long x 2 inch (50.8mm) wide length of Tour Grade Velcro HOOK SIDE ONLY which should be enough for easily 7-8 pedals **

LOOP SIDE IS NOT SUPPLIED - I recommend using a good quality loop material (not carpet) to cover your pedal board, that is designed to be used with velcro. I do not the stock the loop side tape as the adhesive used is acrylic so in summer it melts and pulls off the board.

Standard Velcro can easily loose it's grip from your pedalboard and the adhesive does not form a strong enough bond to your effects pedals. A musician's pedals and pedalboard have a hard life out in New Zealand's live music scene and standard 'fabric store' velcro simply can not stand up to the rigours of the road.

The Tour Grade Velcro we offer is very low profile with extreme gripping power. The backing is a super strong rubber based pressure sensitive adhesive that, when attached properly, over time will form an extremely strong bond with your effects unit.

Only a small 1-2cm strips at the top and bottom of an average MXR sized pedal is all you need for a secure hold, a little more for bigger heavier units like wahs.

To apply:

1. Clean the base of your pedal with isopropyl alcohol or similar. Make sure it is very clean and there is no cleaner or old glue residue.
2. Measure and cut your Tour Grade Velcro to the size you require. Peel off the backing strip and use a hair dryer to heat up the adhesive a little (this helps with the bonding process). 3)Apply the Velcro to the spotless base of the pedal that you cleaned earlier and press firmly for 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Warning : If you need to remove your pedal from your board after attaching, you will need to use a spatular or similar to gently lift it from the board. The grip is very strong and gets stronger over time, just pulling it off will damage your pedalboard!
