Description

NOTE - This is being relisted after the prior listing was pulled due to this being flagged as "electrically unsafe". Since then, I have replaced the power lead with a compliant one, installed metal screening on the back panel, and installed a cable gland in the back panel. Chassis and screen are grounded. I have had this tested and tagged by a local electrical firm. I have been advised by Jarrod at TM customer service that this should allow the auction to proceed.

I've owned this since the early 90's but have played it very little. I brought it with me from the States in 2002. It has a NZ step-down transformer mounted on the bottom panel of the case with a NZ three pin plug.

Date code of "CG" indicates this was made in July, 1953. Covering is non-original brown Tolex-type and not professionally applied. Replacement speaker is unlabelled and is stamped "7435 DWK0" and "January 19, 1981". I had Steve Bartlett go over it several years ago (see photo of invoice). He replaced the original capacitors and indicated the 6SC7 is microphonic. Needless to say, this amp sounds better than I will at 65 years old.

I've always wanted to play guitar in the worst way and I do, so this amp is better off with someone who can actually do it justice. Amp has been stored in a dry, non-smoking household. It will be very securely packed for shipping.

Feel free to ask any questions - if there is anything in particular you want a better picture of, just ask. I have perfect feedback over 134 transactions since 2006 and aim to keep it that way.

Pickup is Woolston area of Christchurch.
