This product is designed to maintain a constant cool temperature, but if you want cooler temperatures, put it in a clean plastic bag and place it in the refrigerator, or put it in ice water. Before using it, wipe off any moisture with a dry cloth. *Chill in the refrigerator for up to 1 hour. Do not store for a long time.
If your pet doesn't want to lie down, lay a towel with his/her smell on the mat, and he/she will feel comfortable in the new surroundings. Continue this exercise until your pet gets used to it.
