Listing Detail Tabs

Seldom available, the true flying fox is much more bronze in colour and has a more defined black stripe than its more popular cousins the Siamese Algae Eater.

Equally as peaceful and a good choice for the community aquarium they primarily feed on algae based foods but will also eat meat in the form of frozen or live food.

This species can grow to be around 15cm long and will need to be housed in an aquarium of at least 120cm in length. They can become quite territorial and are best kept on their own as they will likely fight with any similar looking species such as siamese algae eaters, chinese algae eaters and red tailed, rainbow or black sharks.

Very active and inquisitive, I will miss having them in my tank.
