In the last few weeks I have decided to part with some of my most prized Hospodka forms after unveiling them for the first time in years after being in storage....

WOW!...here is a beauty!.....a rarely seen design by the great Josef Hospodka - I have only sold one other of these heavy tightly corkscrewing ribbed bowls and they are very desired for their almost sharp prominent propeller-like fin-like lobes......but not only that they have such glass-density and sublime crystal clarity!.......in fact the entire piece has a density as impressive as anything I have sold recently....

....the photos will show that amazingly beautiful sculpted shell with those bold sweeping and turning fins - such a graphic form and what a light trap as each view morphs into something else...

....this piece is in near perfect condition from the Chribska Glass-stable, but more importantly it is this very rarely seen densely glassed snaking ribbed form with it's lower and upper Sommerso layers of colour that is more relevant - just very unique and deliciously rich and beautiful!

...spanning 13cm wide, a deep dish high profile at 8cm's high this piece is incredibly dense and heavy!

....with a heavily worked outer-shell of crystal-clear this form twists it's way up through 6 tightly corkscrewing prominent ribs through to a seamlessly rolled rim....

....housed within is a deep rich velvety electric cranberry-pink that fades to a clear out to the rim...

....probably one of the more "tightly-sculptural" forms you will see from Hospodka, the outer skin is a delight with those proud ridges and counter-valleys......the combination of worked glass, density and rich dark ingrained colour combining to create a stunningly unique and "Chic" form from a great Master in Glass!

...amazingly well looked after in near vintage Mint condition - displays beautifully!
